SOLID ROCK KID’S MINISTRY
Welcome to the Kid’s Ministry at Solid Rock Church. We have so many fun and exciting things for our children to keep them engaged and to let them know that serving Jesus is awesome! At Solid Rock Church we understand the value of raising our children in the ways of the Lord and our goal is to help kids at every age, learn the importance of knowing Jesus. Check out the information below to see all of our weekly events for children ages 3 months through 6th grade. Also, check out the church calendar to see our special events throughout the year including our Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, our Kid’s Camp in the summer and our Family Fun Fest in the fall.

What can I expect when I visit kids church?
You can expect a friendly, fun, exciting place where God’s Word comes to life through praise and worship, interactive lessons and small groups.
Who is your favorite character in the bible and why?
My favorite bible character is Paul. He is my favorite because he was a man who went from persecuting Christians and killing them to being one of the most effective Christians of all time. His story is so awesome because it shows us that God can take the meanest, toughest, scariest person; save them, wash them whiter than snow and totally change their heart. It proves to me that no matter what you have done, when you ask Jesus into your heart, He can totally restore your life and you are a new person in Him!
What is your desire for all kids to know?
My desire is for everyone to feel important and special from the moment they walk in the door. I want the kids to experience the presence of God and for them to know that God loves them no matter what. I want to see them build strong connections and relationships with others, as we build our faith.
Train up a child in the way he should go:

CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
SAFTEY AND SPECIAL NEEDS
The safety and well being of our children are one of the top priorities at Solid Rock Church. For this reason, we use an electronic check-in system that allows parents to easily supply us with information about their child(ren) and provides a parent tag that ensures children can only be picked up by the person who checked them in.
If your child has special needs, medical conditions, allergies or other situations that are important for us to know, please see one of the facilitators at the check-in area so that this information can be properly noted for the health and safety of your child.
BABY DEDICATIONS
Baby Dedications are important to honor the fact that a child is a blessing from the Lord. 1 Samuel tells us about a woman named Hannah, who gave birth to her son Samuel. Upon his birth, Hannah dedicated his life back to the Lord, to honor God.
At Solid Rock Church, we perform Baby Dedications every 3-4 months to honor God for the life of our children, just as Hannah did in the Old Testament. Baby Dedications usually fall on the first Sunday morning of the month at the end of our 10:30 a.m. service. Children of any age may be dedicated. Each child is anointed and prayed over, as well as the family. Certificates of dedication are also given to the parents as a keepsake. PARENT ROOM
Parents with young children often find a need during services to take their child to a safe, secure place where they can be changed, fed and cared for. At Solid Rock Church, we provide a Parent Room where you can do just that. Visit the Welcome Center in the church foyer for directions on where the room is located.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Many times throughout the year, we provide special events for our children. Many of these events, especially if we are leaving the church property, will require a Liability Release Wavier for minors under the age of 18.
